A funeral service for
Agnes Karber, age 91, of
Enid, will be held at
10:00 A.M. Saturday, May
5, 2007, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Dennis Treat
officiating.
Burial will be in the
Balko Mennonite Cemetery
at 3:30 P.M., with Rev.
James Epp officiating.
Arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born
to John B. and Elizabeth
“Lizzie” (Benke)
Sawatzky on November 4,
1915, in Enid, and
passed away on Thursday,
May 3, 2007, at St.
Mary’s Regional Medical
Center in Enid.
Agnes grew up
in Enid and Waka, TX.
On May 11, 1941, she
married Reuben Karber in
Enid, and they made
their home on the family
farm in Balko. She
was a homemaker, and
during the summer she
worked on the family
farm. During
harvest, she drove a
wheat truck.
She is
survived by one son
Lional Karber and wife
Debbie of San Angelo,
TX; one sister Rose Voth
and husband Johnnie of
Enid; and three
grandchildren, Jeremy
Karber of San Angelo,
Latisha McLaurin and
husband Patrick of
Lubbock, and Aaron
Karber of San Angelo.
Agnes was
preceded in death by her
parents, son Kevin in
1968, husband Reuben in
2005, and brother John
Sawatzky.
Memorials may
be made through the
funeral home to the
Balko Mennonite Cemetery
Fund.
