   A funeral service for Joseph Michael Benjamin Arita, 22 of Enid, will be Monday, August 10, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Anderson-Burris Chapel with the Reverend Terry Glaze officiating.  Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

    Joseph was born on August 21, 1986 in Hahn Air Base, Germany to Michael Avery and Michelle Ann (Garilli) Arita and died on August 6, 2009 in Enid.

     Joseph received his high school diploma and later studied construction technology at Autry Technology Center.  He was the assistant manager of Quiznos and a delivery worker at Lowe’s.  He loved sports, especially football.  He excelled as a youth football player and was the captain of his team.  Joseph received E.J.R.T.’s highest awards.  Joseph was a youth minister at Living Word Fellowship and wanted to pursue ministry training.  He loved to share the gospel.  Joseph was a member of the Living Word Fellowship.

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael & Eleanor Garilli and Edwin & Louise Arita. 

    He is survived by his parents, Michael & Michelle of Enid; six brothers, Damien Arita of Ponca City, Jacob Arita of Enid, Luke Arita of Amarillo, TX, Tracy Jones of Japan, Darrin Stout, of Ponca City, and Duane Hocker of Ponca City; six sisters, Marie Jones of Japan, Anne Stout of Ponca City, Nancy Arita of Enid, Hope Hocker of Ponca City, Dena Arita of Ponca City, and Jess Klein of Enid; seventeen nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

     Memorials may be made in Joseph’s name to Anderson Burris Funeral Home.
