Cemetery: Memorial Park Cemetery (Enid, OK.)

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Arlene Mae Wieden, age 78, at  1:00 P.M. Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, with Father Larry Kowalski officiating.  Burial will follow at Memorial  Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.  Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 6:30 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

            She was born to Alphonse Henry and Eleanor Mary (Yelleck) Gerleve on September 26, 1928, in Hanover, Kansas, and died Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at The Methodist Home in Enid.

            Arlene grew up and attended schools at Hanover.  On October 14, 1948, she married Harry Richard Wieden in Hanover.  They moved to Enid in 1966, and she was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital for over twenty years at different positions.  She was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and Dudes and Dolls Square Dance Club.

            Arlene is survived by her son Jim’s wife, Sue of Claremore, and their children Katy, Jody and Mark; son Royce and Cindy of Fairview, and their children Clinton and Caitlin; son Craig and Stephany of Enid, and their children, Natalie and Jon and his wife Anne, and their children Cooper and Taylor Jo; son Corey and Cheryl of Fairmont, and their children, Cody and Hope; one brother Dave Gerleve;  two sisters, Marilyn Grauer and Pat Rettig.

            She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, son James “Jim” Wieden, brother Bernard Gerleve and sister Shirley Licht.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Alzheimer’s Division.
