Barbara Elizabeth Smith,
age 67, will be at 2:00
P.M. Saturday, December
16, 2006, at the
Memorial Park Cemetery
Garden Chapel, with
Pastor Matthew Thoms
officiating.
Arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born
to Adam and Rosie May
(Myers) Wilhelm on
August 24, 1939, in
Humansville, Missouri,
and died Wednesday,
December 13, 2006, at
Integris Bass
Health Center in Enid.
She grew up
in Dodge City, KS,
graduated from High
School in 1946.
She then lived in
Liberal, Kansas City,
and Elkhart, KS.
Barbara attended nursing
school at Seward County
Community College in
Liberal, Kansas.
She worked at Morton
County Hospital in
Elkhart and was an EMT
with the ambulance
service. Barbara
was then an occupational
nurse at Excel in Dodge
City. She later
moved to Enid, and
married Earl William
Smith on October 11,
2003. They made
their home in Enid, and
she was a home health
nurse.
Barbara is
survived by her husband,
Earl of the home; three
daughters, Ronda Covey
and husband Dwight of
Wichita, KS, Renae Davis
and husband Dave of
Enid, and Raylene Akers
of Wichita, KS; two
sons, Scott Akers and
wife Shanna of Houston,
TX and Gary Akers and
wife Debbie of
Strafford, MO; two
brothers, Wendel Wayne
Wilhelm and wife Mary
of Dodge City, KS and
John Michael Wilhelm and
wife Wanda of Owasso,
OK; twenty
grandchildren, T.J. Popp
and wife Mandi, and
Jason Popp, all of
Wichita, KS, Terry and
Dwila Covey of Wichita,
KS, Thomas Davis and
wife Stephanie of
Chicago, IL, Anna,
Nathan, Lydia, Andrew,
Joel, Naomi and Charity
Davis of Enid, Taylor
Akers of Wichita, KS,
Ryan and Kyle Akers of
Houston, TX, Mason, Cole
and Elizabeth Akers of
Strafford, MO, Travis
and Tim Covey of
Wichita, KS; and three
great-grandchildren,

She was
preceded in death by her
parents, infant daughter
Stacy Lynn Akers and
grandson Aaron Davis.
