“Celebration” of the
Life of Beth W. Casida,
age 92, will be at 11:00
AM on Tuesday, June 17,
2008, at Garland Road
Baptist Church with Rev.
Chris Percival and Rev.
Alison Phillips Robuck
officiating. Burial
will be in the Enid
Memorial Park Cemetery
under the direction of
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
Beth
graced this earth on May
1, 1916 in Tulsa, OK and
joined her Heavenly
Father June 14, 2008.
She married her high
school sweetheart,
Philip Phillips in 1934,
and they had two
children: Philip Weaver
and Phyllis Arline.
After her husband’s
death in 1948, she spent
10 years as a widow
before marrying her
second husband, Del
Casida. She spent her
childhood in Tulsa, OK
and lived out her adult
life in Colorado
Springs, Tulsa, Taos,
and finally moved to
Enid in 1996.
Beth
was an active member of
Garland Road Baptist
Church until her health
declined. She enjoyed
her membership in the
Enid Symphony Auxiliary
and her Symphony season
tickets. She loved
people and delighted in
surprising them with
homemade hot rolls or
brownies when they least
expected it. In 2004-05
she made and gave away
over 400 pair of
porcelain praying hands
to relatives and
friends.
Beth
is survived by her
daughter, Phyllis
Phillips (Merle) of
Enid; their daughters:
Beth Kelly (Jim) of
Birmingham, AL & Alison
Robuck (Rob) of
Minneapolis, MN.
Children of her son
Philip: Phil Phillips
of Troy, MO; Phyllis Ann
Phillips of Tulsa, and
Jeff Phillips (Liz) of
Cleveland, OK.
Step-children Ken Casida
(Caroline) of Visalia,
CA and their son, Mike
(Melinda); and Kay Ross
(Jim) of San Antonio,
TX, and their children,
Sheri Jones (Bob) and
Ryan (Jennifer) Ross .
One sister, Vernus Crain
(OKC), formerly of
Tulsa. Fourteen
great-grandchildren, one
great-great grandchild.
Beth’s two husbands, her
son, and three sisters
preceded her in death.

of Love or a charity of
choice.
