The funeral
service for Bobby “Bob”
Dean Choate, age 73,
will be at 6:00 P.M.
Wednesday, March 5,
2008, at Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel,
with Rev. Richard
Duckworth officiating.
He was born
to Bert and Laverle
(Chance) Choate on March
26, 1934, in Pampa,
Texas, and died Sunday,
March 2, 2008 at his
home in Enid.
He grew up
in Enid, and then served
in the United States
Army. Bob was a
fireman with the Enid
Fire Department for
twenty years. On July
23, 1992, he married
Dola Lodge in Enid. He
was an avid trapper and
hunter, and enjoyed
black powder rifle
shoots and the Colorado
Mountains. He loved
seeing his
grandchildren, and he
loved his cats, Tom and
Stubby II.
Bob is
survived by his wife
Dola, of the home; his
children, Tammy and
Johnnie Shourek of
Hennessey, Teresa Black
of Drummond, David and
Jackie Smith of St.
Louis, MO, Becky Pearce
of Enid, Pat and Connie
Smith of Enid, and
Russell Choate, Matt
Choate, and Kim Arnold,
all of Huntsville,
Alabama; twelve
grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Ronnie Dunlap
and Bill Choate; and one
sister Faye Webb.
He was
preceded in death by his
parents, and grandson
Tanner.
Memorials
