The
funeral for Hazel Iona
Talkington Campbell, age
85, will be 1:30 PM
Friday, October 23,
2009, at the Garriott
Road Church of Christ,
with Ministers Jerry
Campbell and Ray Rose
officiating. Burial
will be in Grace Hill
Cemetery, Perry.
Visitation with the
family will be Thursday
evening from 6:00 to
7:30 PM at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born to
Jesse Mack and Eula Emma
Talkington on July 13,
1924, in Dover,
Arkansas, and passed
away Monday, October 19,
2009, in Enid.
Hazel moved with
her family to Malden,
Missouri as a young girl
and graduated from Risco
High School in 1941.
She was employed at
Malden Army Airbase
until it closed in
1945. On July 13, 1946,
she married E.T. “Jack”
Campbell in Kennett,
Missouri. She moved
with her husband and two
daughters to Enid in
September 1960. Hazel
worked at Vance Air
Force Base for Serv-Air
and Northrop from
December 1960 until her
retirement in July
1986. She was a member
of Garriott Road Church
of Christ and a 35 year
member of Better Living
Extension Group.
Surviving are one
daughter Donna Bunch of
Enid; four grandsons,
Ray Scott of Choctaw,
Dalton Bunch and wife
Maureen of Owasso,
Dustin Bunch of Dallas,
TX, Blake Scott of
Florida; granddaughter
Jamie Scott Harrell of
Florida; six
great-grandchildren,
Declan, Delaney, Dawson
and Donovan Bunch,
Adeline and Avery
Harrell, all of Florida;
sister Albin Humphrey of
Houston, TX; two
brothers Delaino and
Gaino Talkington, both
of Ft. Worth, TX;
numerous nieces and
nephews, cousins and
friends; and extended
family John Scott of
Choctaw, Vivian Bunch of
Enid, and Pam Murray of
Enid.
In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to Search Program of
Edmond, OK, OMRF – Heart
Division, or to the
church.
