The funeral service for Carl F. Raper, age 74, will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Carl Roberts officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            He was born to John Monroe and Artie Frances (Johnson) Raper on February 16, 1934, in Milburn, Oklahoma, and died Saturday, April 12, 2008, at his home in Enid.

            Carl grew up in Blackwell.  He served in the United States Army in Vietnam.  On November 18, 1973, he married Charlotte Watts in Kremlin, and they made their home in Enid.  He was employed at Hackney and Speed Star.  Carl then worked for the Department of Public Safety as a Driver’s License Examiner until his retirement.  He was a member of Harvest Time Worship Center.

            He is survived by his wife Charlotte of the home; his children, Keith Raper and Bruce Raper, both of Kansas City, MO; Sherri and Jeffrey Jones of Enid; Sam and Patty Snyder of Enid; and Vicki and Steve Wynn of Edmond; eleven grandchildren; and two sisters, Opal Wood of Enid and Lois Harden of Bakersfield, California.

            Carl was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and two sisters.
