A graveside service for Cecil O. Burcham, age 94, will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Memorial Park Garden Chapel, with Rev. Wayne Pittman officiating.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            He was born to Ira L. and Grace E. (Hart) Burcham on December 16, 1913, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid.

            He grew up in Cleveland before moving to Woodward in 1927.  He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corp, and then moved to Enid in 1937.  He was employed at Martha Ann Bakery and Bond Bakery.  Cecil then worked for Enid Public Schools as a custodian at Waller Junior High and then Eisenhower Elementary.

            Cecil is survived by two children, Cecila Sue Willig of Tucson, Arizona and George Leon Burcham of San Diego, California; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters,

Juanita Burchfield and husband Bill of Enid, and Minnie Ruth Shotwell of Sunnyside, WA.

            He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
