A funeral service for Charlene “Sue” Partovi, age 64, will be at 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 9, 2007, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Wilbur Flynn officiating.  Burial will be in Mounds Cemetery in Thomas, Oklahoma, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. 

            She was born to Charles C. and Onavale (Nicholson) Shipley on January 3, 1943, in Sayre, and died Monday, March 5, 2007, in Enid, Oklahoma.

            Sue grew up in Kingfisher, and graduated from Kingfisher High School.  She then earned a degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and then her master’s degree in Special Education at the University of Central Oklahoma.  She moved to Enid in 1977, and taught Special Education in the Enid Public School System for twenty-four years. 

            She is survived by her mother, Onavale Shipley of Kingfisher, three children, Tracy Bass and wife Connie of Oklahoma City; Gail Rich and husband Darren of Florida; and Brian Bass of Enid; four grandchildren, Denese, Debra, Ty & Cloe; and six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Almonzo Jr., Aalijah, Belle, Hannah and Laayla.

            She was preceded in death by her father, one brother Jim Shipley, and one son Clyde Bass, Jr.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid High School Craft.
