            A memorial service for Connie Kaye Cross, age 44, of Ringwood, will be at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, February 7, 2008, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Byron Neufeld officiating.  A private family burial will be held at a later date.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

            She was born to James Ralph and Bonnie Jean (Neilson) Griffin on July 16, 1963, in Enid, and died Monday, February 4, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Health Center in Enid.

            Connie lived in Pond Creek and Enid until age 5, when the family moved to Cleveland, Mississippi, where she attended school through the fifth grade.  The family moved to Nash, Oklahoma in 1974 and she attended school and graduated with honors from the Jet-Nash School System.  Connie was a member of Hawley Bethel Baptist Church, where she was baptized in 1974.  On October 30, 1982, she married David Cross in Pond Creek, and they made their home in Enid. She worked for the Health Department at Pond Creek, and then a short time at Wheatland Mental Health in Medford.  Connie later transferred to Enid where she worked for over twenty years until 2006.

             Connie is survived by her husband, David of the home; two sons, Steven Kyle Cross and Matthew Jay Cross, of the home; her mother Bonnie Norris and step-father Bud of El Dorado, Kansas; three brothers, John Hurst of Lawton, Trent Griffin of Greenville, Mississippi, and Brent Griffin of Mississippi.

            She was preceded in death by her father, paternal grandparents and maternal grandmother.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Education Fund for the boys or Hospice Circle of Love.
