Eugene was born on
October 28, 1948 to
Victor and Madeline Inez
(Poindexter) Cooper in
Enid, and died on
Saturday, June 5, 2010
in Enid.
He grew up in Ames
and graduated from Ames
High School. He served
in the United States
Navy during Vietnam and
following his discharge
returned to Ames and
began working for CSC.
He worked for thirty
years at CSC as an
avionics inspector. On
November 28, 1983 he
married Kay Diane Jester
in Fort Smith, Arkansas,
and they made their home
in Ames. He was a
member of the Ames
Church of Christ, Ames
American Legion, and
former President of the
Sooner Motorcycle Club.
Eugene was a quiet man
and a good husband.
Eugene is survived by
his wife Diane of the
home; two brothers
Gerald Cooper, Florida,
and Clayton Cooper,
Ames; several aunts,
uncles, nieces, and
nephews.
He was preceded in
death by his parents.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to OMRF- Cancer or
Diabetes Division.
