The funeral service for
Meurle Lula Dalke, age
98, of Enid, will be at
2:00 P.M. Monday, June
1, 2009, at Calvary
Baptist Church, with
Rev. Steve Williams and
Rev. Everett Ohls
officiating. Burial
will be in Memorial Park
Cemetery, with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born on
November 23, 1910 in
Ames, Oklahoma to Jesse
L. Scott and Lyda M.
(Pearson) Scott and died
on May 29, 2009 in Enid,
Oklahoma.
She grew up in Ames,
and attended Ames
schools. On March 11,
1934, she married
Bernhard Raleigh Dalke
in Bison, and they made
their home in Enid. She
was a homemaker. Meurle
was a member of Calvary
Baptist Chuch for
sixty-seven years, where
she taught the second
grade Sunday School
Class for many years.
She is survived by
two sons; Bob Dalke and
wife Shirley of Enid,
and Gerald Dalke and
wife Gwen of Edmond,
seven grandchildren;
Tami Mc Elroy, Penny and
Danny Wicker, Jeff and
Misty Dalke, Robby Dalke,
Greg and Elaine Dalke,
Rick and Janet Howell,
and Tim and Rhonda
Koehn; twelve
great-grandchildren;
five great, great
grandchildren; and her
sister, Dorthy Rikli of
Enid.
Meurle was preceded
in death by her husband,
Ben, three brothers and
four sisters.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to The Commons
(Methodist Home) or
Calvary Baptist Church.
