            A graveside service for Irma Jo Daniel, age 82, of Enid, will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 6, 2008, at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid, OK.

             She was born to William Marcus and Elda (Whitaker) Burmeister on May 30, 1926 in Amber, OK, and died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, in Enid.

             Irma grew up in Chickasha.  On November 29, 1958, she married Joe F. Daniel in Chickasha, and they made their home in Arkansas City, KS.  They moved to Enid in 1988.  She worked for Soil Conservation Service, Consolidated Gas Company, J.C. Penney’s and Bealls.  She was a member of ABWA.  She was president of P.T.A. and a Campfire Leader during her children’s school years.

             She is survived by her husband Joe of the home; two daughters, Jean Slaven and husband Earl of Arkansas City, KS, and Sally Daniel of Ft. Worth, TX; two granddaughters, Sherry McNaught and husband Joe of Edmond, and Candi Bailey and husband Scott of Chickasha; one great grandchild Zachary McNaught; daughter-in-law Frieda Hauger of Chickasha; one brother Jack Burmeister of Oklahoma City; and three sisters, Gene Stringer of Sacramento, CA, Eileen Hoover of Stringtown, and Melita Ann Hooper of Chickasha.

             Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Will and Elda Burmeister;  son Robert Joe Hauger; brothers Kenneth, Jerry and Bill; sisters Arthena Clements, Rowena Burmeister and Kathryn Griffin.

             Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Enid YWCA Womens Shelter.  Condolences may be made online to ab@andersonburris.com.
