A memorial service for Darrell Troy Scruggs, age 61, of Drummond, will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Lance officiating.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

            He was born to Elton and Natoma (McBride) Scruggs on July 1, 1946, in Chickasha, and died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, with his family by his side at his home in Drummond.

            Darrell served in the United States Army.  He worked as a truckdriver.  On January 1, 2000, he married Sharon Sissel in Enid, and they made their home in Drummond.

            He is survived by his wife, Sharon of the home; his parents Elton and Natoma Scruggs of Gainesville, TX; one brother Dane (Mary Lou) Scruggs of  Gainesville, TX; one son, Daren Scruggs of New Mexico; six daughters, Melisa Foote of Enid, Lorrie (Glenn) Foster of Livona, NY, Janelle (Trae) Tucker of Jet, Ginger (Kent) Merrill of Enid, Wendy (Kevin) Corr of Lahoma, Pam (Jeff) Neely of Terrilton, , and Paula Chrisman of Enid; eighteen grandchildren.

            He was preceded in death by his brother Coy Scruggs.
