A Memorial Service for Wanda Sue Dean, age 74, will be at 1:30 P.M. Friday, February 13, 2009, at the Golden Oaks Chapel, with Chaplain Shorty Unruh officiating.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.  Viewing and visitation will be Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home

     She was born to Ray David “Buck”  and Monte May (Hibler) Downs on October 13, 1934 in Reed, Oklahoma, and died Monday, February 9, 2009, at Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid.

    Wanda grew up and attended school at Hammond, Oklahoma.  On July 3, 1954, she married Lee Dean in Cheyenne, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Midwest City.  Wanda moved to Enid in 2000.  Wanda enjoyed arts and painting.

    She is survived by two daughters, Teena Dean-Haggerty of New Jersey, and Dorothy Ann Dean of Massachusetts; one son Jefferson Lee Dean of Edmond; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Rebecca Dean; one brother Gary Downs of Oklahoma; and two sisters Charlotte Siska-Downs and Cherry Downs, both of Kentucky.

    Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, David and John Downs.
