A funeral service for Delmar Laverne Peterson, age 75, of Enid, will be at 9:00 A.M. Monday, December 4, 2006, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Thurman Sparks and Rev. Bryan Baldwin officiating.  Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            He was born to Johnny E.G. and Anna (Jantz) Peterson on January 21, 1931, in Perryton, Texas, and died Thursday, November 30, 2006, at his home in Enid.

            Delmar grew up in Meno and Ringwood, graduating from Ringwood High School.  He served in the United States Army and later the United States Air Force.  He then made his home in Enid, where he was a taxi driver and delivered for Oxford Cleaners.  On October 23, 1981, he married Dorothy Ann Harris in Enid.  He was a member of Victory Bible Church.

            He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home, one son  Johnny Peterson of Enid; daughter Mary Peterson of Dallas, TX; three sisters, Mle Muzingo of Shellsburg, IA, Wynona Anderson of West Minster, CA, and Rita London of Grand Junction, CO.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.
