A funeral service for Dennis Nelson Whisenhunt, age 56, of Enid, will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 3, 2007, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, with Rev. Lyle Whiteman officiating.  Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. in the Gate Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            He was born to Halbert and Ava (Nelson) Whisenhunt on August 22, 1950, in Shattuck, and died Saturday, December 30, 2006, in Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid.

            Dennis attended Gate Schools, and then graduated from Oklahoma State University.  On June 2, 1973, he married Deborah Zumwalt in Laverne, and they made their home in Enid. He was the parts manager for Roberts Truck Center in Enid.

            He is survived by his wife, Deborah of the home; one son Robert Whisenhunt and wife Terri of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Amy Whisenhunt of Enid; his parents Halbert and Ava Whisenhunt of Gate; one brother Doug Whisenhunt of Gate; and two sisters, Judy Throckmorton of Alva, and Joan Mosier of Tuttle.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Multiple Sclerosis Division.
