R. Mack, age 69, of
Blackwell, will be at
Collins Cemetery in
Okeene. Cremation
arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home & Crematory.
He was born
to George Lewis and
Elsie Mary (Richardson)
Mack on July 24, 1938,
in Paris, Missouri, and
died Wednesday, May 7,
2008 at St. Mary’s
Hospital in Enid.
Denny
graduated from Tonkawa
High School, and then
served in the U.S. Army
Reserves. He worked as
a butcher for many
years, most recently for
Miller Market in Ponca
City. On March 20,
2000, he married Lela
Bellah in Miami, and
they made their home in
Blackwell. He was a
member of Blackwell
Church of Christ. Denny
enjoyed camping, and was
a frequent caller to
WBBZ Radio Station in
Ponca City, where his
nickname was “The
Governor”.
He is
survived by his wife
Lela of the home;
daughter Mona Stiles and
husband David of Enid;
two grandchildren, Lisa
Stiles and Patrick
Stiles, both of
Nashville, TN; sister
Maxine Brockob of
Lombard, IL; and special
friends Hoy and Myrl
Young of Ponca City.
He was
preceded in death by
five brothers and three
sisters.
