A private family memorial for Donald Eugene McMahan, age 72, of Enid will be held at a later date.  There will be a family luncheon on Saturday September 27, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. held at United Church in Lahoma.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.  There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral home.

      Donald was born on June 22, 1936 in Enid to William (Bill) J. and Opal M. (Miller) McMahan and died on Thursday September 25, 2008 in Enid.

     He grew up and graduated from Enid High School and then attended Oklahoma State University for two years before he joined the Navy.  He retired after twenty years with the Navy in Naval Aviation.  On March 29, 1960 he married Patricia Mitten in Washington, D.C.  They moved to Lahoma in 1972.  Donald worked for twenty years as a driver for Crabbs Transportation.  He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

     Donald is survived by his wife Patricia of the home; a son Troy Donald McMahan and wife Connie of Meno; a daughter Kimberly Anthony and husband Shane of Lahoma; his mother Opal McMahan of Enid; six grandchildren, Barry McMahan and wife Kari of Albuquerque, Kandie Dawson and husband Ross of Ponca City, Hannah  McMahan of Oklahoma City, Jacob McMahan, Triston (T.J.) Anthony, and Reesa Anthony all of Lahoma;  three great grandchildren, Christopher McMahan, Nicholas McMahan both of Albuquerque, and Isabelle Franklin of Oklahoma City. 

      He was preceded in death by his father Bill, and two brothers Larry and Alan.
