The funeral for Dorothy
Maxine Norris, age 84,
will be at 1:00 P.M.
Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at
the Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel,
with Rev. Tom Cooksey
officiating.
Burial will be in
Memorial Park Cemetery,
with arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
She was born
to Oscar and Mable
(Funk) Harzman on July
6, 1922, in Alva, and
died Tuesday, Jan. 30,
2007 in Enid.
Dorothy grew
up in Alva, and
graduated from Alva High
School. She
attended college at
Northwestern Oklahoma
State University.
In 1942, she married
Earl Crowder in Alva,
where they made their
home. She later
married Dr. Howard
Norris in May, 1964 in
Enid. They resided
in Enid, and she worked
as a secretary at Vance
Air Force Base for many
years. She was a
member of First United
Methodist Church.
She is
survived by her son
Stanley Crowder and wife
Elisa of Cherokee; three
grandchildren, Julie
Mohler and husband Jason
of Andover, KS, Jennifer
Foster and husband Byron
of Lanett, AL, and
Ginger Crowder of
Edmond; and
great-grandchildren,
Ethan, Andra and Grant
of Andover, KS.
She was
preceded in death by her
parents and sister
Louise, who were killed
in a tornado in Alva in
April, 1939; and husband
Dr. Howard Norris, in
June 1975.
Memorials may
be made through the
funeral home to Hospice
Circle of Love.
