A funeral service for
Daniel Everette Duffy,
69, of Enid, will be
Monday, August 31, 2009
at 1:00 p.m. in the
Anderson-Burris Chapel
with Mr. George Mechling
officiating. Cremation
will follow the service
under the direction of
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
Daniel was born on
March 14, 1940 to James
Lynn and Alberta
(Everett) Duffy in
Cleveland, Ohio, and
died on August 27, 2009
in Enid, Oklahoma.
He graduated from
Oklahoma University.
Daniel was active with
B.A.C.A. Nation (Bikers
Against Child Abuse)
helping children. He
worked as a respiratory
therapist for over forty
years at Norman Regional
Hospital and Children’s
Hospital in Oklahoma
City. Daniel served in
the U.S. Navy. He
volunteered during the
Murray Building bombing
in Oklahoma City, and
was a counselor for the
AA community. Daniel
was sober for 28 years.
He was married to Karen
Bell from 1977 until
1981. He was a member
of the Scottish Rite.
Daniel loved his family,
grandkids and his dog,
Shamus.
He was preceded in
death by his parents,
and brother, James Lynn
Duffy, Jr.
He is survived by his
children, Kimberly and
husband, Doug Grisham of
Hinton, OK, Beth and
husband, Rod Sumner, and
Dawn McAlister, all of
Enid; six grandchildren,
and many friends.
