A memorial service for
Milton Duhon, age 86, of
Enid, will be held at
2:00 P.M. Saturday,
January 2, 2010, at
Davis Park Christian
Church. Cremation
arrangements were by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
Milton was born to
Felician Adam and Marie
(Boudreaux) Duhon on
August 10, 1923 in Lake
Arthur, Louisiana, and
died on December 3, 2009
in Enid.
He grew up in Crowley,
Louisiana, and served in
the Merchant Marines.
He was Golden Gloves
Champion two times, and
later worked in the
oilfield. Milton then
attended Ozark Bible
College in Joplin,
Missouri and earned his
Masters Degree. On
August 10, 1948, he
married Betty Jo Tinsley
in Jennings,
Louisiana. Brother
Duhon served as a
minister in Louisiana,
Missouri, Belgium,
Germany, France,
Switzerland, Africa,
Tennessee, South Dakota,
Canada, Kansas, Texas,
Iowa, and Oklahoma.
They moved to Enid in
2001.
He is survived by his
wife Betty Jo of the
home; three sons, Milton
“Ray” Duhon of Atlanta,
GA, Larry “Joe” Duhon of
Enid, and Charles Lee
Duhon of Tulsa; one
daughter Deborah Ann
Duhon of Enid; five
grandchildren; one
great-granddaughter; two
brothers, Floyd Duhon of
Lafayette, LA, and
Howard Duhon of
Cleveland, TX; and two
sisters, Estelle George
of Sulphur, LA, and
Earlene Richard of Lake
Charles, LA.
He was preceded in death
by his parents, five
brothers, and one
sister.
