Funeral services for
Jack Easterly, age 75,
of Enid, will be at
10:00 A.M. Friday, May
7, 2010, at
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Ted Kuschel
officiating. Burial
will follow in Memorial
Park Cemetery under the
direction of
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
Jack was born to
Lawrence Levi and Stella
(Dowers) Easterly on
February 17, 1935, in
Pond Creek, OK, and died
May 5, 2010 in Enid.
He graduated from
Enid High School and
then attended the Enid
Business College. He
served in the United
States Army during the
Korean Conflict from
April 23, 1957 to April
22, 1960. He then
moved back to Enid
where he started his
Painting Business. Jack
painted several houses
in the Enid area. On
December 22, 1961 he
married Dorothy Lee
Davis in Pawhuska, and
they made their home in
Enid. Jack served in
the Army Reserves until
April of 1963. He was a
longtime member of
Emmanuel Baptist
Church. Jack enjoyed
playing guitar and
singing country and
bluegrass music. He
loved to refinish
furniture and enjoyed
spending time with his
coffee buddies.
He is survived by a
sister, Effie Eckert of
Macon, Georgia; and
several nieces, nephews,
and friends.
Jack is preceded in
death by his parents;
his wife; three
brothers, Homer, Ivan,
and Marvin and one
infant sister.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to the Emmanuel
Christian School.
