The funeral
for Edith Mae Morrow,
90, will be at 2:00 P.M.
Saturday, June 21, 2008,
at Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home, with Rev.
Lester Lowry
officiating. Burial
will be in Enid
Cemetery.
She was
born to Roy and Francis
(McRevey) Dowler on Dec.
24, 1917, in Wellington,
Ks, and died Tuesday,
June 17, 2008, in Enid.
On Dec. 30,
1938 Edith married Oren
Morrow. They made their
home in Enid. The
couple started and
pastored the First
Pentecostal Church,
where she played guitar
and sang. After the
children were grown, she
worked as head maid at
the Trail Motel for 20
years. She then worked
for Enid Public School
Lunch Program at
Harrison and Monroe
Schools for over 20
years. Edith also took
care of foster kids for
over 11 years. She was
a member of Evangel
Assembly of God Church.
She is
survived by two sons,
Roy Morrow of Sallisaw,
and Charles Morrow of
Moore; two daughters,
Linda Maner and Gloria
Morrow, both of Enid;
eight grandchildren; and
twenty-two
great-grandchildren.
Edith was
preceded in death by her
husband, great
grandchild, parents, two
sisters, and two
brothers.
