Elizabeth was born on April 4, 1908, west of Waukomis to Abraham and Mary (Brown) Wiens and died on April 19, 2008 in Enid.

She attended school in Drummond, Inola, and Hillsboro, Kansas.  Then, on October 16, 1924, she married John I. Regier.  They had one son.  In their early married life, they lived on a farm north of Enid.  They tried farming in the Texas Panhandle during the Dust Bowl, and tried to make a living in California before returning to the farm north of Enid.  They were married for sixty years before his death in 1984.  She was a homemaker and farm wife.  Elizabeth was very successful in her business adventures from selling eggs, to buying farms.  She was a self-taught pianist and organist.  She loved music, gardening, sewing, and helping with the grandchildren.

Elizabeth became a Christian when she was a young girl.  Later in life, she played the piano, organ, and taught Sunday School at the Westside Baptist Church and the Olivet Baptist Church.  She later became an active member in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church until health problems prevented her from attending church activities.

She is survived by her only child, John and wife Barbara; grandsons, Rodney and wife Jeanie, Ed and wife Sandra, and granddaughter-in-law Noemi; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband John, a grandson, Steven, her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church to the Mennonite Brethren Missions and Services International, or charity of choice.
