A funeral service for Frank Newton Welch, Sr., age 71, will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 16, 2006, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Troy Way officiating.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

             He was born to Jack Newton and Danny Francis (Smith) Welch on February 18, 1935, in Campwood, Texas, and died Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid.

             He grew up in Campwood, attending schools there. On October 17, 1985, he married Barbara Goins in Enid, and they made their home in Enid.  He was employed as a driver for Groendyke for forty-two years.

             Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara of the home; four sons, Frank Welch, Jr. of Fort Myers, FL, Jackie Welch of Yukon, OK, James Welch of Tonkawa, OK, and Tracy Jenner John of Fairmont; two daughters, Teresa Gibson of Oklahoma City, OK and Cathy Billingsley of Enid; two stepdaughters, Margie Broxson of Sulphur, LA  and Julie Williams of Pawnee, OK; twenty-two grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother Bill Williams of Kerrville, TX; and two sisters, Vida Way and Avalee Pipers, both of Kerrville, TX.

            He was preceded in death by his first wife, one son, and one brother.
