A funeral service for Fred Thomas Tremain, age 76, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Jeff Jackson officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            He was born to Fred T. and Thelma Leona (Pinkerton) Tremain on February 18, 1931, in Enid, and passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Greenbrier Village in Enid.

            Fred grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School.  He then enlisted in the United States Navy and relocated to California.  Fred attended the College of Arts and Crafts.  He married Janna Aars on July 12, 1956, in Oakland, CA.   Fred worked for the defense system as a technical illustrator until his retirement.  His job took them all across the United States.  In the late 1980’s they returned to Oklahoma and made Enid their home.

            Fred enjoyed rock collecting, painting, sculpting, both jazz and classical music, reading, and he cared a great deal about animals.

            He is survived by his wife, Janna; two children, Ronald and  Nancy Tremain;  and one grandchild, Vanessa.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Greenbrier Village.
