Memorial services for
Gerry L. Church, age 90,
of Enid, will be at 1:00
P.M. Tuesday March 25,
2008, at Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel with
Rev. Roy Schneider
officiating. Gerry’s
ashes will be scattered
over Pike’s Peak in the
fall of 2008, during the
height of the colorful
Aspen season.

Home and Crematory.
Gerry
was born to Ralph W. and
Lola (Buffaloe) Kubik on
August 7, 1917 in
Jefferson, Oklahoma, and
passed away on Monday,
March 17, 2008 at St.
Mary’s Regional Medical
Center in Enid.
At
the age of twelve, Gerry
was the pianist at the
First Methodist Church
in Jefferson. Gerry
graduated from Jefferson
Schools in 1934. She was
very gifted and talented
in music. In 1936, she
played in the 25 Grand
Piano Recital in Enid.
She always played at
family gatherings. Gerry
studied music at
Phillips University and
business at Enid
Business College. On
February 18, 1939, she
married Byron M. Church
in the Jefferson
Methodist Church. They
made their home in
Tulsa, Aline, Ponca City
and Long Beach, CA,
prior to establishing a
home in Colorado
Springs, where they
resided for 50 years.
Gerry loved the trees in
Colorado and the majesty
of the Rocky Mountains.
She was a partner of
Byron M. Church
Associates vested in
real estate. They
retired to Enid in 1998
to be near Oklahoma
family. She and her
husband provided support
to Silver Key Services
for Seniors, Goodwill
Industries, First
Presbyterian Church, and
several civic and social
organizations. She was a
member of the
Philanthropic Education
Organization, PEO. Gerry
inspired and helped
everyone, and was loved
by all.
Gerry
is survived by husband
Byron Church, brother
Jack Kubik and wife
Gloria, of Enid, nieces
Sheryl Best of Mustang,
Marilyn Jackson, and
Karen Holmes, all of
Ponca City, and Deborah
Kubik of Lake Charles,
LA; nephews, Max Kubik
of Russellville, AR and
Mark Kubik of Baltimore,
MD and their families.
She is preceded in death
by her brother Robert Kubik of Houston, TX.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to First Presbyterian
Church.
