A memorial service for Goldie Marie Gates, age 76 of Enid, will be 2:00 P.M. Monday January 29, 2007 at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with the Chaplain Jeff Jackson officiating.  There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

            Goldie was born on October 12, 1930 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Robert Virgil and Wilda Marie (Smalley) Webb and died on January 24, 2007 in Enid at the Golden Oaks Retirement Village.

            Goldie grew up in Arkansas City, KS. where she graduated from high school.  She worked as a switchboard operator in Arkansas City, Ks. an accountant, and sold real estate.  Goldie lived the last twelve years of her life in Talihina, before moving to Lahoma in October 2006.   Goldie enjoyed painting and working in her gardens, but spending time with her grandchildren and family were her most cherished times.

            Goldie is survived by two sons; Dayle Jerome Wilson and wife Becky of Enid,  Ronald Dale Gates of Talihina, Ok; a daughter Rebecca Lynn Weathers of Lahoma; 5 Grandchildren; 2 Great-grandchildren; and a brother Wayne Webb of Lahoma.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Kenneth Webb.
