for Sherman Orville
Graham, 85, will be at
2:30 PM Sunday, Dec. 13,
2009, at Memorial Park
Cemetery Chapel, with
Rev. Cody Anderson
officiating.
Arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation with
the family will be
Saturday afternoon from
3:00 to 4:30 PM at the
funeral home.
He was born
to Charles W. and Vina (Raser)
Graham on Feb. 23, 1924
in Drummond, and died
Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009,
in Enid.
Sherman
grew up in Drummond,
graduating from Drummond
High School. He studied
Civil Engineering at
Alva Northwestern
College prior to
induction in the US Navy
during World War II. He
served in the Pacific.
On Nov. 6, 1961, he
married Iva (Baker)
Spears in Clovis, NM,
and they made their home
in Enid. Sherman was a
foreman for Hackney Iron
and Steel, and a member
of Congregational Church
of Drummond. and V.F.W.
He is
survived by two
daughters, Janice
Anderson and husband
Gary of Ringwood,
Shirley Inman and
husband Jim of Pellville,
KY; two grandchildren,
Andy Adkisson and Dustin
Anderson; three great
grandchildren, A.J.
Adkisson, Shaycee
Anderson, and Greyc’n
Anderson; and two great,
great grandchildren,
Jase and Jadon Adkisson.
Sherman was
preceded in death by his
wife Iva in February
2008; parents, Charles
W. and Vina Graham,
three brothers, Everett,
William and Leon Graham;
and one sister Nell
Miller.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to the V.F.W.
