A graveside memorial
service for Harold
Benjamin Tippin, age 88,
will be at 1:00 P.M.
Friday, April 20, 2007,
at the Wakita Cemetery,
with Rev. Dan O’Daniel
officiating.
Cremation arrangements
were by Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home and
Crematory. There
will be no visitation or
viewing at the funeral
home. The register
book will be at the
graveside service.
He was born
to Jesse Howard and
Lucinda Jane (Wilson)
Tippin on January 16,
1919, in Wakita, and
died Saturday, April 14,
2007, at his home in
Enid.
He attended
schools at Deer Creek.
On April 10, 1938, he
married Bette Slaughter
in Cherokee, and they
made their home in the
Wakita area, where they
farmed. After he
retired from farming,
they moved to Enid in
1992. He was a
member of the Cowboy
Church.
He is
survived by his wife
Bette of the home; two
daughters, Judith Nathan
of Enid, Carla Horning
of Ada; one son John
Tippin of Honolulu, HI;
eleven grandchildren;
twenty-eight
grandchildren; eight
great great
grandchildren; and one
sister Maxine Williams
of Tulsa.
He was
preceded in death by
daughter Sharon
Mattingly.
Memorials may
be made through the
funeral home to Hospice
Circle of Love.
