memorial service for
Harvey James Brooks, age
58,
of Covington, will be at 2:00PM
Saturday, Sept, 23rd, 2006,
at the Anderson-Burris
Funeral Home Chapel,
with Rev. Jerry Brown
officiating. A graveside
service will be held at
2:30PM Friday at the
Cookson Cemetery,
Cookson OK. Cremation
arrangements are by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home and Crematory.
He
was born to James and
Norma Jean (Harvey)
Brooks on July 1st,
1948, in Enid, and died
Tuesday, September 19th,
2006, at his home in
Covington.
He
grew up in Enid,
graduating from Enid
High School. He then
graduated from Oklahoma
State University. Harvey
was a dedicated school
teacher in Stillwater.
He also served in the
Air National Guard. On
June 16th, 2000, he
married Sherry Baker in
Enid, and they made
their home in Covington.
Harvey
is survived by his wife
Sherry of the home; his
mother Norma Brooks of
Cookson; one daughter,
Jodie McKinney and
husband Mike of Denver,
CO, stepchildren, Carrie
Graham and husband
Shannon of Plano, TX,
Katy Krueger of Florida,
and Christopher Krueger
and wife Isabell of
Jenks; three
grandchildren, Jacob
McKinney, Julie and
Annasophia Graham; six
brothers, Steve Brooks
of Enid, Terry Brooks of
Tulsa, Rodney Brooks,
Monte Brooks and Brad
Brooks, all of Cookson;
and Robert Brooks of
Arkansas; and two
sisters, Marcheta Brooks
and Cindy Ballew, both
of Cookson.
He
was preceded in death by
his father, James
Brooks.
