The funeral service for Helen Carolyn Baxter, age 82, will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop George Curtis officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with arrangements by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

            She was born to Joseph Hill and Mabel (Aaron) Franklin on November 11, 1925, in Tulsa, and died Friday, February 22, 2008 at Greenbrier Nursing Center in Enid.

            Helen grew up in Tulsa, and graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1943.  She worked at the Tulsa Credit Bureau and the Avis Call Center in Tulsa.  On October 10, 1979, she married Paul Baxter in Provo, Utah, and they made their home there.  Helen was a homemaker, and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  In 1993, she moved to Enid to be near family.  She spent a lot of time working  in the genealogy library at the church. 

            She is survived by her son Ben Franklin and wife Linda of Enid; two grandchildren, Laura Lang and husband Brent, and Lance Franklin and wife Jacqui, all of Enid; and  four great-grandchildren, Kyley and Ethan Lang, Tyson and Kyzer Franklin.

            Helen was preceded in death by her husband Paul, one brother, and one great-grandson, Jaxon.
