The funeral service for
James “Jim” David Hough,
age 66, will be at 10:00
A.M. Saturday, November
28, 2009, at the Cedar
Ridge Wesleyan Church,
with Pastor Ron Olson
and Associate Pastor
David Lyons
officiating. Burial
will be in Enid
Cemetery, with
arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home. Visitation with
the family will be
Friday evening from 6:00
to 7:30 PM at the
funeral home.
Jim was born on
November 2, 1943 to Glen
Robert and Cora
Elizabeth Hough in
Noble, Illinois, and
died Tuesday, Nov. 24,
2009 at 8:40 PM at his
home in Enid.
He was raised in Noble,
Illinois, where he also
attended school. On
Feb. 28, 1964, he
married Shirley Kaye
Swayze, and remarried
her on Nov. 28, 1992.
Jim worked in the
oil field for many years
and then drove semi
trucks over the road for
the next 23 years. He
retired in April of 2006
due to ill health.
Jim loved to fish
and to collect old model
cars from the 1950’s.
He enjoyed putting old
models together,
traveling and spending
time with his
grandchildren,
great-grandchildren, his
family and his two dogs
Benji and Dexter.
Those left to
share his memories are
his wife Shirley of the
home; children: Cindy
Stacy and husband Billy
of Searcy, Arkansas,
Michael Bradley and
wife Darla of
Kingfisher, Tom Hough
and wife Addie of Fort
Leavenworth, KS, Mandy
Hout of Newman, IL,
Vanessa Moore of
Billings, Herb Bradley
and wife Tanya of
Holcomb, KS, Becky
Calwonsen and husband
Bill of Fairview, OK
Also surviving are
brothers Glen E. Hough
and wife Sharon of
Marshall, Danny Hough
and wife Paula of Nobel,
IL, Roger Hough and wife
Diane of Effingham, IL;
sisters Sandra Herman
and husband Bud of
Claremont, IL, Cathy
Wilson and husband Don
of Olney, IL; and
mother-in-law Norma
Wagonseller of
Russellville, IL.
Jim is survived
by 28 grandchildren;
five
great-grandchildren; and
13 extended family of
grandchildren.
Jim leaves behind
many nieces, nephew and
a host of friends. He
will be missed by all.
Jim is preceded
in death by his parents,
Glen and Cora Hough; one
son Timothy Alan
Bradley; one daughter
Tammie Elizabeth Hough;
one grandson Derrick
Marcus Alan Hough; and
one great-grandson Daven
Bradley.
Jim attended
Cedar Ridge Wesleyan
Church and Best Years
Fellowship.
Memorials may be made
through the funeral home
to Cedar Ridge Wesleyan
Church.
