      The funeral service for Melissa J. Jackson, age 40, of Enid, will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 8, 2008, at Central Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Kevin Ward officiating.  Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday in Grant County Cemetery in Ulysses, Kansas.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

      She was born to Lee and Barbara (McManaman) Lattimore on March 29, 1968, in Ulysses, Kansas, and died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

      Melissa grew up in Ulysses and graduated from Ulysses High School.  On May 12, 1990, she married Jay Jackson in Ulysses.  She was a volunteer ambulance driver there.  They lived in Woodward from 1992 – 1998, where she taught at High Plains Technology Center.  After moving to Enid in 1998, she worked for ten years at Autry Technology Center, starting as an information tech and then as a web designer for marketing.  She was very skilled in computers.  Melissa served as a City Council Woman for North Enid.  She was an avid Chisholm athletic supporter, as well as all the other activities of the school and her sons.

     She is survived by her husband Jay and two sons Bryant and Cameron, all of the home; stepfather Gene Harbour of Ulysses, KS, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Sharon Jackson of Elk City; two aunts, Donna Frydendall of Liberal, KS, and Nancy Badders of Pratt, KS; and several other family and friends.

      Melissa was preceded in death by her mother Barbara Harbour. 

     Memorials may be made to Jackson Children’s Fund at the Bank of Kremlin
