A funeral service for
James “Jim” Eugene
Watts, age 72, will be
at 2:00 P.M. Monday,
June 4, 2007, at the
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home Chapel, with Rev.
Carl Roberts and Dr.
Jeffrey Jones
officiating.
Burial will be in the
Memorial Park Cemetery,
with arrangements by
Anderson-Burris Funeral
Home.
He was born
to James Excell and
Dorothy (Holloway) Watts
on February 22, 1935, in
Enid, and died Friday,
June 1, 2007, at St.
Mary’s Regional Health
Center in Enid.
He grew up in
Enid, attending Enid
Public Schools. He
was a professional horse
jockey for several years
before serving in the
United States Army.
He then worked at Vance
Air Force Base in Data
Processing. Jim
later moved to Oklahoma
City, where he worked at
Remington Park Race
Track. In 2004, he
moved back to Enid.
He is
survived by two sisters,
Ruth Norman and husband
Jack of Enid, and
Charlotte Raper and
husband Carl of Enid;
two nieces, Sherri Jones
and husband Jeffrey, and
Vicki Wynn and husband
Steve; three nephews,
Sam Snyder and wife
Patty, David Norman and
wife Glynda, and Mark
Norman and wife Kyla.
Jim was
preceded in death by his
parents.
Memorials may
be made through the
funeral home to the
Civitan Home Shelter
Fund.
