            A Memorial Service for Jerry Orin Davis, age 64, will be at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 29, 2007, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel.  There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.   Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

            He was born to Leslie Orin and Melba (Ream) Davis on November 8, 1942 in Enid, and died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Health Center in Enid.

            Jerry’s father died in the war, so he was raised by his mother and his uncle, Charles Davis.  Jerry graduated from Enid High School.  He attended Phillips University and Okmulgee Tech.  On December 7, 1963, he married Delphine Sadler in Enid, and they made their home in Alva.  He worked for a print shop in Alva.  They later moved to Caldwell, Kansas, where he worked for the newspaper.  In 1973, they moved to Enid, and Jerry worked for Cromwells and American Standard.  He then worked for Lowe’s until in retirement in February, 2005.  He was presently working at Atwood’s.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  Jerry loved printing, fishing, and spending time with his family.

            He is survived by his wife, Delphine of the home; two sons Danny Davis of Catoosa, Leslie Orin of Enid; daughter, Angela Messall and husband Roy of Enid; ten grandchildren Cassidy, Bo and wife Bria, Whitney, Josh, Kayla, Leslie Ann, Joni and husband Sean, Jennifer and Kristy, Gwen and husband David, Jeremy and wife Shelly; four great grandchildren, Taryn, Kaelin, Tyler and Morgan; three brothers, Dale Davis and wife Donna of Colorado, Jimmy Davis of Kentucky, and Dean Davis and wife Linda of Colorado; and one sister,  Cheryl Hutchinson of Colorado.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Heart Division.
