Clyde Johnson

From:       Mel Gayer
Email:    mdgayer@sbcglobal.net
Knowing and working with Clyde was an experience well worth remembering. If you wanted it done to perfection, ask Clyde. He was continuously advancing his knowledge and making every effort to stay healthy and fit. Nancy and I send our condolences to Millie and his family.

We are so saddened by this news.  What a fine man Clyde was, and it is hard to think of Millie without Clyde.   Dear Millie, I will write a longer note soon.   Love you much, Marti

We were sorry to hear of Clyde's passing. We are longtime friends of Clyde and Millie from Audubon and running. I often saw Clyde at local five k's and more recently at St. Johns Fitness Center for exercise. Clyde was a wonderful person. He volunteered for many groups in Springfield and is greatly missed. Our best wishes to Millie.

Clyde was definitely one of the best (and favorite) volunteers Ozark Greenways ever had! He pitched in on all our trail projects for years and years. Even though he was 50 years older than me, he was in WAY better shape!! He's a sweet heart and we'll never forget him, the impact he made on the trails, and what an incredible role model he was.  Thank you, Clyde and Millie. We're thinking of you!

John & I send our condolences to Millie Johnson in the loss of Clyde, her husband.  As the Music Director of the St. Paul United Methodist Choir, we were honored to have Millie and Clyde as loyal members.  Not only did they contribute to church activities, but also in the community in helping the needy.  We remember Clyde enjoying viewing all the birds down on the river when we moved here.  Our prayers to the family.

I have never know such a positive, energetic, and passionate individual than Clyde. He was an inspiration to younger engineers and scientists, as well as to people of all stripes. His curiosity, his rigor, his dedication and determination have been a great example for all of us.
