A memorial service for Joycelyn Marie Stucky, age 73, of Hydro, will be at 4:00 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2007 at the Bethel Mennonite Church in Hydro, with Raymond Unruh officiating.  Burial will be in the Bethel Mennonite Cemetery.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.  There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

            She was born to Herman and Hilda Helen (Ewy) Entz on February 11, 1933, in Hydro, Oklahoma, and died Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Enid. 

            She grew up in Hydro, graduating from Hydro High School.  She then earned her B.S. Degree and Masters Degree in Education from Southwestern University.  She married Ernest Ewy on August 2, 1957, and they made their home in Larned, KS.  After his death, she married Paul Stucky on May 28, 1967 in Pretty Prairie, Kansas.  They made their home in Larned, KS.   She was an elementary school teacher, retiring in 1968.  Joycelyn was instrumental in starting The EtCetera Shop in Weatherford and the Oklahoma Mennonite Relief Sale.  She was also a Master Gardener.

            Joycelyn is survived by her daughter, Lena Nye of Enid; her son Sam Stucky of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren; and one brother Herman Entz of Ollala, Washington.

            She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
