A memorial graveside service for Kathryn Alicia Genson, age 28, of Hennessey, will be at a later date at the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky.  Cremation arrangements were by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

    She was born to Westley Wayne and Robin (Rouse) Dempsey on April 6, 1980, in Frankfort, Kentucky, and died Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Hennessey, Oklahoma.

    Kathryn graduated from West Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa.  She then served in the United States Marine Corps, stationed in San Diego, where she was an audio-visual specialist.  After an honorable discharge, she attended nursing school at Sharps Medical Center in San Diego.  Kathryn eventually made her home in Hennessey.

    She is survived by two children, Abigail and Zachary Genson, both of Atlanta, Georgia; her mother Robin Olson of Billings, Montana, her father Westley Dempsey of Melrose, Florida; one brother Christopher Dempsey of Washington D.C; step-sister Kiasa Olson of Ada, OK; and step-brother Arik Olson of Billings, Montana.
