A memorial service for Kenneth L. Rickards, age 43 of Waukomis, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, August 4, 2007, at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerald Bushman officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral home. Kenneth was born on March 29, 1964 in San Diego, California to Lawrence Dean and Louise Mildred (Keeney) Rickards and died on August 1, 2007 at his home in Waukomis. He grew up in Wenatchee, WA and Mulvane, KS., graduating from Mulvane High School. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army and was a mechanic. He currently worked at Seaboard Farms as a mechanic. On July 4, 2007, Kenneth married Jana Ashley in Waukomis, where they made their home. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother, Wanda Goll. He is survived by his wife, Jana, of the home; one brother, Jimmie Rickards and wife Susan of New Hartford, Connecticut; four sisters, Kathy and Rick Willson of Enid, Carolyn and Albert Stoddard II of Waukomis, Sherry and Lloyd Reinhart of Boise, Idaho, and Shannon Rickards of Perry; Grandparents Charles Goll of Wenatchee, WA, and Art and Roberta Morgan of Wichita, KS; parents-in-law, Dave and Bea Meyer of Enid; two stepchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Pancreatic Cancer Division.
