Ina Josephine was born
to Dave and Lizzie (Wedel)
Smith on July 11, 1919
northwest of Ringwood,
and went home to be with
her Lord on Wednesday,
January 21, 2009, at her
home in Enid.
Ina attended rural
country schools
graduating from Ringwood
High School in 1939, and
was united in marriage
to Harry Dee Koehn at
Fairview, on November
16, 1940. They shared
the joys and sorrows of
life together for over
66 years. They made
their home in the
Ringwood area. Ina was
a homemaker and helped
Harry with farm work
until they moved into
the town of Ringwood,
where she cooked at the
Ringwood School. She
then went to work at the
Helena Training School
for Boys in Helena as a
custodian, and continued
working there for ten
years. Ina was a long
time member of Central
Assembly of God Church
in Enid. Our Mother,
Grandmother, and
Great-Grandmother will
be greatly missed. She
was a loving, kind and
patient person, who was
loved by all who knew
her.
She is survived by her
two daughters, Myrna
Thorp, of Enid, and
Sheryl Coffey and
husband Terry of
Fairview; two sons, Ivan
Koehn and Kenneth Koehn,
both of Enid; eight
grandchildren; twelve
great-grandchildren; and
one
great-great-granddaughter;
two sisters, Mrs. Wanda
Nelson of Leonardville,
KS, and Mrs. Ruby Koehn
of Moundridge, KS; three
sister-in-laws, Mrs.
Maxine Smith, Mrs.
Nathalie Koehn, and
Nelda Koehn; and many
nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in
death by her husband
Harry, an infant son,
two brothers, and two
sisters.
