                    The funeral for Billie J. Larson, 79, of Enid, will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, Oct.19, 2008, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Dan O’Daniel officiating.  Family and friends will gather right afterward at Christian Church of the Covenant, 1205 S. Cleveland.  Burial will be at 1:00 P.M. Monday in the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka. 

        She was born to Henry Albert and Edna Jane (Dunafon) Dinsmore on March 6, 1929, in Wewoka , and died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Okla. City.

        Billie grew up in Wewoka and graduated from Wewoka High School.  She married T.R. Ferguson in 1949, and they lived in Okla. City.  She later married Merlin H. Larson on Jan. 19, 1957 in Sterling, CO, and they made their home in Bartlesville.  Billie was a homemaker and also worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses.  They moved to Enid in 1971, and then to Roosevelt, UT in 1975.  While in Utah, she was active with the Pink Ladies Auxilliary and taught Sunday School and kept books for the church.  They moved back to Enid in 1977.  She was a member of Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church.

        Billie is survived by her husband Merl of the home; four children, Sherri Dady and Rita Hess and husband Burlie, all of Enid, Patti Hanscom and husband Richard of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Tom Ferguson and wife Terry of Greeneville, TN; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Laura Good  and husband Vaughn, and Glenda Watson, all of Enid; and two brothers, O.R. “Tokey” Dinsmore and C. E. “Pete” Dinsmore and wife Sherry, all of Enid, and many nieces and nephews.

        She was preceded in death by four sisters, Blanche, Bertie, Monie and Betty; and one infant brother James.

        Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Chisholm Trail Cowboy Church.  Condolences may be made online to ab@andersonburris.com.
