Private family services will be held for LeRoy Eugene Murray, age 83, of Enid.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.  There will be no viewing or register book at the funeral home. 

He was born to William O. and Pearl (Tennison) Murray on September 26, 1924, in Enid, and died Monday, November 5, 2007 at his home in Enid.

He grew up in Enid and graduated from Enid High School.  He served in the United States Air Force during World War II, where he was a gunner on a B-52 Bomber.   On July 11, 1967, he married Virginia Weber in Enid, where they made their home.  He was a fireman with the Enid Fire Department for over twenty-four years until his retirement.

Leroy is survived by his wife Virginia of the home; daughters Sue Quigley of Tulsa and Paula Boatright of Enid; step-daughter Cheryl Goldy of Lahoma; two sisters, Pat Fothergill of Enid and Inez Piepenbring of Overland Park, KS; five grandchildren Shannon, Shawna, Tammy, Mandy, Jason;  and five great-grandchildren, Rachel, Ashley, Drayden, Isabella and Haylie.

He was preceded in death by his brother Bill Murray, sister Pauline Mummel, and granddaughter Kim Quigley.
