A funeral service for Lyle Andrew McCollam, age 69, of Blackwell, will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, September 8, 2007, at Nardin United Methodist Church in Nardin, Oklahoma, with Rev. Robert Foos officiating.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.

He was born to Andrew and Ruby (Evans) McCollam on April 1, 1938, in Pierre, South Dakota, and died Monday September 3, 2007 at Integris Bass Hospital in Enid.

Lyle grew up in Mosher, South Dakota, and graduated from Witten High School.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1956 to 1960.  On March 20, 1962, he married Marie Schlem in Pierre, South Dakota, and they made their home in Carter, South Dakota.  He moved to Blackwell in 1984.   He was a farmer and rancher, and a member of V.F.W. and Nardin United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Marie, of the home; two children, Kelly McCollam and wife Michelle of Mobridge, South Dakota, and Tracey Douville and husband Daigre of Chamberlain, South Dakota; seven grandchildren, Kody, Danielle, Skylar, and Calen McCollam, Brant, Talyn and Dana Douville; and one sister Judy Edwards of Winner, South Dakota.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
