        A funeral service for Waunita Fay Mariner, 79, of Enid, will be Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.  at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lesly Broadbent officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

        Waunita was born July 12, 1930 in Okeene, Oklahoma to Ben and Molly Nusz, and died Sunday, March 7, 2010 in Enid.

        She grew up on the family farm near Okeene and graduated from Okeene High School.  She married Virgil Kopf in 1949, and they made their home in Okeene and then Enid.  He died in 1976.   Waunita married Joseph L. Mariner in 1982 in Enid, where they made their home.   She worked for many years at Northgate United Supermarket as a checker until her retirement.  She was a member of the Willow View Methodist Church.  Waunita enjoyed raising flowers.

        She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Virgil, one brother, and one sister.

    She is survived by her husband, Joe of the home; four children, Virgil Eugene  Kopf and wife Maurine of Maidens, Virginia, Ronald Gene  Kopf and wife Debbie of Skiatook, Melinda Casteel and husband Steve of Stillwater,  and Mike Mariner of Palm Bay, Florida; 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
