A memorial service for Mary Mae Brown, age 79, of Garber, will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.  There will be no visitation or viewing at the funeral home.

            She was born to Earl and Nina (Schlotshauer) Davie on September 28, 1927, in Oklahoma City, and died Sunday, May 20, 2007, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid.

            Mary grew up in Oklahoma City and Washington, graduating from high school in Washington.  She worked as a clerk for Continental EMSCO Oil Supply Company.  She has lived in Enid, Andrews, TX, Darby, Montana, and she resided in Garber at the time of her death.  In 1970, she married George Brown in Sulphur.  She was a member of Desk & Derrick Club.

            She is survived by her husband George, of the home; three children, Patty Browning of Florida, Mike Browning of Montana, and Randy Brown of Enid; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ann Dewey of Washington, and Ethel Smith of Mustang.

            She was preceded in death by one brother.
