A private family memorial service for Medford Daniel "Danny" Hays, age 56, of Hennessey, will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home.

            He was born to Charles Medford and Ruby Opal (Smith) Hays on April 10, 1950, in Holdenville, and died Friday, March 2, 2007 in Enid.

            Danny grew up in Wewoka, and attended schools there. He worked in the oilfield as a driller in the Weatherford area. He moved to Hennessey in January 2003.

            He is survived by his son Quinton Daniel Hays of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; tow grandchildren, Allison and Dax Hays; four brothers, Boy Hays of Seminole, Tom Hays of Oklahoma City, Jerry Hays of Oklahoma City, and David hays of Terrell, Texas; and two sisters, Jewel Babiak of Hennessy and Darlene Hays of Richardson, Texas.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and two brothers.
