A graveside service for Melvin Hugh Litson, Jr. ,age 56, of Oklahoma City, will be at 10:00 A. M. Friday, December 8, 2006 at Memorial Park Garden Chapel.   Rev. Kevin Choate will officiate.  Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home & Crematory.

            He was born to Melvin Hugh and Norma Patricia (Seale) Litson on December 27, 1949, in Enid, and died Saturday, December 2, 2006, at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.

            He grew up in Enid, and graduated from Enid High School in 1968.  He served two tours of duty with the Navy, serving in the Pacific Fleet and Vietnam on the USS Ranger.  On December 22, 1972, he married Sherry Lynn Thompson.  He worked as a bricklayer’s assistant.

            He is survived by one son, Christopher Lee Litson, of Huntington Beach,  CA; his parents, Melvin and Pat Litson of Enid; a grandson  Skyler Litson, and granddaughter Alexis Litson of Huntington Beach, CA; one sister, Mrs. Al (Cynthia) Wagner of Grinnell, Iowa, several aunts, uncles and nephews.

            He will be missed by many friends and loved ones.

            Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Gideons or Excell Hospice of Oklahoma City.
